Homeworld Mobile, the next entry in the popular franchise, is now available on Android and iOS

The Homeworld franchise has been around for a while, with two PC titles and a third slated for release early next year. Back in 2019, Gearbox announced it was working on two games, Homeworld 3 and Homeworld Mobile, the latter of which hit virtual shelves today.

Finally, after years of alpha and beta testing, Homeworld Mobile is available on Android and iOS. In case you’re unfamiliar with the series, Homeworld is a real-time strategy MMO. In the Mobile Edition, over a hundred years have passed since the original Exodus and the rediscovery of Homeworld. The Hilgarans use the hyperspace gates to find places to settle.

Speaking about the franchise and the game’s launch, Steve Gibson, President of Gearbox Publishing said: “Homeworld Mobile is the culmination of an incredible partnership with Stratosphere Games and we hope the global launch will be something truly special for mobile gamers. Whether you’re a longtime fan of the franchise or just looking to starting a new adventure, Homeworld Mobile stays true to the philosophies of scale, story, and strategy that are so cherished in the original games that started it all.

Players will be challenged to build their own ships to create a fleet used to defeat enemies. Take control of starship carriers, interceptors and destroyers to crush the competition. Expect to see a lot more attention to detail, both in terms of graphics and in-game lore.

If you’re ready to brainstorm and command an entire fleet, download Homeworld Mobile now by clicking one of the links below. It is free and includes in-app purchases for in-game currency.
