How to get access to the Battlefield 2042 test

The highly anticipated Battlefield 2042 will be released on October 22, 2021, for those of you who can’t wait until then, there is hope! While there will be an open beta for Battlefield 2042 ahead of release for anyone pre-ordering the game, EA and DICE have also announced the Battlefield 2042 technical game testing that will take place from August 12, 2021. EA has made it clear that this initial Playtest is not all about gameplay, but rather will focus on testing the infrastructure and supporting servers. They have also stated that they will be using gray box environments which will be very different from the final design when the game launches in October.

Battlefield 2042 Tech Test Release Date Schedule

  • August 12: Session 1 – 5 a.m. – 8 a.m. PDT / 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. CEST
  • August 13: Session 2 – 5:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. PDT / 2:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. CEST
  • August 14: Session 3 – 5 a.m. – 8 a.m. PDT / 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. CEST
  • August 14: Session 4: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. PDT / 8 p.m. – 11 p.m. CEST
  • August 15: Session 5: 5 a.m. – 8 a.m. PDT / 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. CEST
  • August 15: Session 6: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. PDT / 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. CEST

Overall, there will be 6 sessions spread over 3 days from August 12 to 15 at different times of the day.

How to register for the Battlefield 2042 Tech Test

To register for the Battlefield 2042 playtest, you must go to EA Playtest and register. If you don’t have an EA Account, you’ll need to create one first. Once you have registered, you will then have to wait for EA and DICE to contact you.

Please keep in mind that EA has already announced that these play tests will be drastically limited to a few thousand participants, so just signing up and saying you’re interested won’t guarantee you a spot in one. game test sessions.
