The Lompoc Valley community healthcare organization, which strives to establish an inclusive culture of health and well-being for local residents, has launched a comprehensive new website design that better highlights value local nonprofits and community partners, the organization said.
According to LVCHO Executive Director Ashley Costa, the $5,000 refresh was sponsored by the Santa Barbara Foundation’s Small Capacity Building Grant, which was supplemented by internal funding from LVCHO.
The website now features the organization’s current and past work, including projects such as Open Streets, Safe Routes to School and Creative Crosswalks, as well as its role in the Lompoc Community Athletics Project campaign.
More recent projects include the dissemination of a health newsletter; a community immunization awareness campaign; a census outreach effort targeting underserved neighborhoods; installation of bicycle repair stations in town and a program to promote physical activity.
“We want the community to better understand who we are and that we have been serving the Lompoc Valley for 22 years,” Costa said.
