The OnePlus Nord 2 closed beta test is part of the OnePlus Software Deployment Regime, which includes closed testing of the software before it is ready for stable deployment.

STRONG POINTS

  • OnePlus has started accepting applications for OnePlus Nord 2 OxygenOS 12 testing.
  • This is the closed beta testing program for OnePlus Nord 2 users in India.
  • OnePlus will only recruit 200 people for this testing program.

OnePlus Nord 2 users in India can now participate in the OxygenOS 12 Beta Testing Program. OnePlus has announced that the OxygenOS 12 Closed Beta Testing (CBT) program is now accepting applications from eligible OnePlus Nord 2 users. The program, currently underway in India, however, will not include testing of the Nord 2 PAC-MAN edition. OnePlus said it plans to recruit 200 testers for its program, which means you’ll have to hurry if you want a slot for yourself.

Closed beta testing is part of OnePlus’ software deployment regime, which includes closed testing of the software before it’s ready for a stable rollout. OxygenOS 12 closed beta test means Android 12 software for OnePlus Nord 2 users in India is imminent. But it will take time, as OnePlus announces the open beta program right after the closed beta program ends.

In a forum post, OnePlus said it has changed the strategy for the closed beta program this time around. So, instead of running for a long time, OnePlus will only release a few builds as part of the closed beta testing for Nord 2 users. That’s why it only invited 200 applications. If you want to join the program, you will need to sign up and register your Nord 2 unit on the OnePlus beta testing website. You’ll also need to sign a nondisclosure agreement with OnePlus to be part of the testing program.

One very important thing to keep in mind before entering the program is that you should let OnePlus know about your experience with the beta software. This involves reporting bugs and issues and providing suggestions to the OnePlus software team via Telegram. If you are not willing to accept this, you can wait for the open beta program, in which feedback is not necessarily required, but requested.

OnePlus Nord 2 users should also keep in mind that the software they will use in the closed beta test will be full of bugs. This is why it is better not to register your device if it is your daily driver. There can be several issues with the software and you may experience them anytime if you have it installed on your Nord 2.
